What is the Happening?
The Happening is a Christian retreat led by students. All denominations are welcome.
No matter where you are in your faith, the Happening has something to offer you.
Who can go to the Happening?
Teenagers who are in the 10th-12th grade are invited to submit an application to participate in the next Happening.
Where is the Happening?
The Happening takes place over the course of a weekend (arrive Friday evening, closing Sunday afternoon).
A local church typically serves as our host.
Locations vary and have included Madison, the Mississippi Gulf Coast, McComb, Hattiesburg, and Philadelphia.
When is the Happening?
The Happening is held in February, July, and November.
Specific dates can be found under the Calendar Tab of this website.
Is there a cost?
Yes, $65. This can be paid by check, either mailed in advance of the Happening or presented at check-in.

Typically, payments are collected and deposited at the time of application.
If you are not able to attend the Happening and would like a refund, simply request one from Cathey Plunkett.
How do I sign up?
This Application is Step 1. [see link above] Complete all questions and you will be entered into our Applicant List.
Our system allows one Application per email address, which helps avoid duplicate applications.
When will I know if I’m accepted?
As the Happening gets closer, we will begin contacting Applicants to extend invitations to attend.
Watch your email for a Happening Invitation.
**Remember to check Spam/Junk mail as our Invites sometimes go there.**
If you do receive an Invitation, respond quickly to accept your spot.
What if I haven’t heard from the Happening?
We can only invite a limited number of Applicants to each Happening.
If you do not receive an Invitation for the next Happening after your Application,
we do keep you on our Applicant List for future Happenings. You do not need to re-apply.

When you email The Happening, please don't enter "The Happening" as your Subject.
It is most helpful to us if you enter a name & specific topic as the Subject.
(Ex. "Mary Smith-accepting my invitation" or "John Smith- payment question")
